Attic work is tight, hot, and unforgiving. The crew at Woolsey Insulation Los Angeles has spent years in crawlspaces under August sun and winter mornings when the joists are cold enough to sting. What holds them together is simple: they do the job the way they’d want it done in their own homes. Glenn Hartley built this team one hire at a time, looking for people who treat a stranger’s attic with the same care they’d give a neighbor’s. That’s the standard. Nothing less leaves the driveway.
Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has been installing insulation in Los Angeles since 2011, and he’s spent the last eight of those years with our crew. He holds a current BPI Building Analyst certification and has logged thousands of attic hours across the LA basin. What he’s best at is diagnosing airflow problems before the insulation even goes in. Ask him about baffles and ridge vents and he’ll walk you through it in plain English. Off the clock, Marcus restores vintage Schwinns and knows more about mid-city bike lanes than anyone should.
Elena R. – Senior Installer, Spray Foam Specialist
Elena came to us from a commercial insulation background in 2016 and transitioned into residential spray foam shortly after. She’s certified through the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance and handles our most complex spray foam jobs, where the chemistry and the technique have to line up perfectly. Elena says the best part of the work is sealing a hundred tiny air leaks the homeowner didn’t know were there. She’s a gardener who grows tomatoes in Echo Park, which means she’s also an authority on attic heat in July.
Dana V. – Service Coordinator
Dana is the person who picks up the phone when you call, and she’s been answering our line for over six years. Her job is to get you a straight answer fast: what a visit will cost, when the crew can be there, and what happens next. She knows our schedule cold and won’t put you in a three-day wait when the afternoon is open. Dana lives in the Valley and has an encyclopedic knowledge of studio-era film noir, which she will happily bring up if you mention an old movie.
Joey M. – Apprentice Installer
Joey joined us two years ago with a background in construction labor and a serious work ethic. He’s training under Marcus and Elena on both fiberglass batts and spray foam application. His job is to learn the trade the right way: how to prep a workspace, how to hit the right depth per square inch, and how to leave the driveway clean when the truck pulls out. Joey’s a second-generation Angeleno from South LA and spends his weekends coaching youth baseball at a park off Crenshaw.
